Tor Bank School
The Tor Bank School project is an availability-based PPP involving the design, construction, financing, and maintenance of a specialist educational facility in Northern Ireland.
The new school accommodates 164 pupils aged 3-19 with severe learning difficulties, replacing outdated and undersized facilities with a purpose-built environment designed to support inclusive and effective learning.
The modernised building provides dedicated teaching spaces, therapy areas, and improved accessibility to meet diverse student needs.
The project became operational in 2012, and the concession runs until 2037.
Sustainability
The goal of Tor Bank School is to help each of the 194 students to become independent, functioning members of society, both now and in the future. Success requires long-term commitment from all partners. The school’s curriculum is functional, relevant and centered on the student, aiming to support each pupil in realizing their full potential.
