Cologne Schools

The Cologne P1 Schools PPP project involves the design, construction, financing, and maintenance of seven school facilities across five locations in the City of Cologne, Germany.

The scope included a mix of new builds and comprehensive refurbishments to modernise educational infrastructure and meet evolving teaching standards. The schools – located at Lustheider Strasse, Ringelnatzstrasse, Dellbrücker Mauspfad, Humboldtstrasse / Planckstrasse, and Merianstrasse – serve both primary and secondary students.

The facilities became operational in 2005, with the concession term running until 2029.

Sustainability

The project’s objective is to achieve a healthier and more productive indoor climate for the pupils and teachers and at the same time reduce the energy consumption in the buildings further.

A photovoltaic system was installed for the extension at the “Dellbrück” site.
