Supporting staff recognition at South Eastern Regional College
East Down Education Partnership sponsored the Excellence in Supporting the Student Experience category, and Lisburn Education Partnership sponsored the Professional Excellence category. These sponsorships supported an event led by SERC and attended by staff, family and friends, guests and members of the Governing Body.
The awards recognised 29 Campus and Overall Staff Excellence Awards, selected from almost 200 nominations across the college community. Long Service Recognition Awards were also presented to 25 staff members for more than 30 years’ service.
The initiative provided formal recognition for staff contributions across SERC’s campuses. In the source release, SERC linked staff recognition to student retention, success and achievement, and to the wider role of the college in supporting learners, families and communities.
It means every member of SERC staff works to support our students to achieve. It means our students respond to the knowledge, expertise and encouragement SERC provides. It means SERC has a positive impact on many lives, delivering not only qualifications, but also confidence and aspiration.
