University of Kentucky Student Housing
The University of Kentucky Student Housing portfolio comprises approximately 7,500 beds across 15 purpose-built residential buildings on the University’s campus in Lexington, Kentucky, United States.
Fourteen buildings were completed between 2013 and 2017, providing approximately 6,850 beds. Most recently, Kirwan-Blanding Hall, a 649-bed residence, opened in August 2026. The accommodation is fully integrated with University housing and managed by Greystar, which remains invested alongside BBGI.
The assets are held under long-term ground leases with the University, with an average remaining term of approximately 60 years.
Sustainability
Thirteen of the 14 original residential buildings hold LEED certification. Kirwan-Blanding Hall is also expected to achieve LEED certification.
The residences combine accommodation with study and communal spaces, placing students close to teaching facilities and campus services. The additional beds at Kirwan-Blanding Hall will help meet the University’s growing demand for on-campus housing.
