BBGI marks one-year anniversary of BCI’s take-private acquisition

24 June 2026 marks one year since the completion of BCI’s take-private acquisition of BBGI Global Infrastructure, after which BBGI ceased to be a publicly listed company.
The anniversary comes as BCI publishes its 2025–2026 Corporate Annual Report, which highlights the BBGI acquisition as a major milestone for BCI and its Infrastructure & Renewable Resources programme. The report describes the transaction as BCI’s first take-private as sole investor and notes that BBGI provides BCI with a global public-private partnership investment platform.
Since completion of the transaction, BBGI has continued to operate with a focus on long-term asset performance, disciplined portfolio management and responsible investment. The company has also continued to grow, completing three acquisitions during the first part of 2026.
The first year under BCI ownership has reinforced the strategic alignment between BBGI’s core infrastructure investment approach and BCI’s long-term investment objectives. BBGI’s portfolio provides access to essential infrastructure supported by government-backed contracts, with stable, long-term and inflation-linked cash flows.
Under BCI ownership, BBGI is well positioned to continue building on its established public-private partnership expertise, while supporting BCI’s broader ambition to deploy capital into resilient infrastructure that can perform across market cycles.
Duncan Ball, Chief Executive Officer of BBGI, said:
“Over the past year, BBGI has remained focused on what we do best: investing in and managing essential infrastructure that communities depend on. Under BCI ownership, we have a strong foundation to support the next phase of BBGI’s development.”
BBGI looks forward to continuing to work with BCI, public sector partners and portfolio companies to support high-quality infrastructure delivery and long-term value creation.
