We are pleased to announce that BBGI Global Infrastructure has acquired a 100% equity interest in a portfolio of six modern schools in Prince George’s County, Maryland, delivered under a long-term public-private partnership (P3). Located within the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area, the P3 project directly addresses aging infrastructure and overcrowding by delivering purpose-built, high-quality learning environments designed to serve students and local communities over the long term.
The portfolio comprises one K-8 and five middle schools with combined capacity for approximately 8,000 students and additional expansion potential for approximately 2,000 students. Four of the schools were developed using a standardised prototype design, improving construction efficiency and long-term operational performance. The concession includes comprehensive facilities management services, including maintenance and landscaping.
The schools replace outdated facilities with modern learning environments incorporating STEAM laboratories, community sports facilities, energy-efficient systems and climate-resilient design features. The project also embeds strong social value outcomes, including subcontracting commitments of at least 30% to minority-owned and local businesses.
This investment strengthens BBGI’s core North American social infrastructure portfolio, while delivering tangible educational, social and community benefits.
