Infusion Health KVH GP joined a community-wide campaign to support planned improvements at one of British Columbia’s busiest emergency departments.
Kelowna General Hospital is a major tertiary hospital for over one million residents from across the interior of British Columbia, Canada. Kelowna General Hospital recorded 101,089 emergency visits in 2024/25, making it the second-busiest Emergency Department in British Columbia. Since the department opened in the Centennial Building in 2012, patient visits have increased by 84%.
The existing entrance area has one registration desk and two triage stations for walk-in patients. In April 2026, KGH Foundation launched a CAD 2.5 million campaign to fund targeted improvements, including additional triage capacity, a redesigned registration area, new diagnostic equipment and improvements to the waiting room.
BBGI has a long-standing connection to the hospital through the Kelowna and Vernon Hospitals Project. Its wholly owned Portfolio Company, Infusion Health KVH GP, provides ongoing maintenance, operations and lifecycle management for facilities across the hospital campus.
The KGH Foundation spearheads various strategic and vital fundraising initiatives across the hospital site. Their latest campaign involved the KGH Day of Giving in May 2026, where all fundraising efforts were focused on investing in KGH Emergency Department improvements at the Centennial Building, including improving patient flow, efficiency and overall patient experience. The Day of Giving focused all efforts on targeting $2.5M in fundraising, to fund planned patient flow improvements.
In April 2026, Infusion Health KVH GP contributed CAD 5,000 to the KGH Foundation campaign. The donation formed part of the tenth annual KGH Day of Giving. The campaign brought together local families, businesses and individual donors, raising CAD 2,533,995 for emergency care at Kelowna General Hospital. For the first time since its inception in 2016, the community raised above the $2M threshold due to matching donations from key philanthropic partners.
The proposed improvements are intended to reduce bottlenecks, support faster assessment and diagnostics, improve privacy and help clinical teams manage periods of high demand. Through its contribution, the Portfolio Company joined a wider community effort supporting a priority directly connected to the hospital and the people it serves.
