McGill University Health Centre
The McGill University Health Centre (MUHC) in Montreal is a landmark healthcare PPP involving the design, build, finance, operation and maintenance of a 214,000 m² integrated academic hospital campus.
The project combines the Montreal Children’s Hospital, the Royal Victoria Hospital, Montreal Chest Institute, Cedars Cancer Centre, and a cutting-edge research institute, creating a 500-bed world-class medical complex.
As one of North America’s most innovative health centers, MUHC supports a comprehensive range of clinical, research, and teaching services.
The facility has been fully operational since completion and the concession is active until 2044.
Sustainability
The MUHC campus earned 3 consecutive LEED Gold certifications, most recently in 2024, making a historic achievement to Quebec’s healthcare network and reflecting its high environmental performance standards. Key sustainability measures include energy-efficient building systems, sustainable materials, and reduced environmental impact across operations.
The Portfolio Company also contributes regularly to the MUHC Foundation, supporting ongoing innovation in medical research and education.
