Furst Wrede Military Base

The Fürst Wrede Military Base project is an availability-based PPP involving the refurbishment, new construction, and operation of various military infrastructure assets in the Munich region, Germany. The site includes accommodation, office and training buildings, vehicle depots and gymnasiums. It was the first PPP project undertaken by the German Ministry of Defence.

The construction phase was completed within a tight 20-month schedule from March 2008 to November 2009, and the 20-year concession runs until March 2028.

Sustainability

The project included refurbishing and constructing modern, energy-efficient military barracks, featuring an optimized energy concept ensuring sustainable energy use for the future.

Additionally, electric vehicle charging stations were installed to support the facility’s growing electric vehicle fleet.
