Ohio River Bridges

The Ohio River Bridge project includes a 760 m cable-stay bridge, a 500 m twin vehicular tunnel, and 2.25 km of six-lane interstate highway. It also features more than 21 bridges and multiple roundabout-style interchanges.

The project improves regional connectivity and public safety while supporting economic growth across Southern Indiana.

Operational since 2016, the asset receives availability payments, and the concession runs until 2051. The new infrastructure alleviates traffic congestion, shortens travel times, and enhances freight movement along a key cross-border route.

Sustainability

The project’s energy programme has consistently achieved net-positive energy performance over the last years, with solar panels on-site producing more electricity than consumed. Its vehicle fleet started to transition to electric, significantly reducing fossil fuel use.

In partnership with the client, the portfolio company launched a biodiversity initiative that introduced wildflower plots across 28,000 m² of the site, supporting local ecosystems and improving visual landscapes.
